WASHINGTON, DC – FEBRUARY 02: U.S. First lady Dr. Jill Biden delivers remarks during a Cancer Moonshot initiative event in the East Room of the White House on February 02, 2022 in Washington, DC. During the event, U.S. President Joe Biden announced the administration’s new goals for the initiative that includes reducing the death rate from cancer over the next 25 years and improving the quality of life for people who have survived cancer or are living with it. Dr. Jill Biden

Speaking of First Ladys who are making history right now, it is hard to deny that First Lady Dr. Jill Biden is a history maker in her own right. And a lot of that has to do with the fact that no matter what role her husband has held, she has continued to work, while also doing her part as an activist.

Not only is she the founder of the non-profit organization known as the Biden Breast Health Initiative, but she is also a co-founder of a group known as Book Buddies. While the Breast Health Initiative is a program to help get free education about breast health in the state of Delaware, Book Buddies is a program that helps get books into the hands of low-income children.

In partnership with Michelle Obama, she is also the co-founder of Joining Forces, which is a government-run program to help survivors, family members, and caregivers of U.S. Armed Forces members.

Not only is Biden a teacher, but she is also a published author with her own memoir under her belt, as well as a children’s book called Joey: The Story of Joe Biden, and two other books.

Much like Obama, Dr. Jill Biden is not just a “First Lady,” she is someone who is doing her part to make a difference. And when you consider the fact that she continues to teach classes at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), even as her husband is the seated President of the country, is it any wonder that she is an inspiration to women.
