4. More magical species

Season 3 of The CW’s reboot heavily featured a vast array of monsters unleashed from the Tomb of Chaos, forcing the Charmed Ones to fight each foe while trying to understand where they came from and how to destroy them.

The monsters from season 3 were interesting, but I can’t help but long to see some of the mythical creatures from the first season of the series brought back into the fold. The magical world felt incredibly fleshed out during the first season, with the Charmed Ones encountering pixies, ghosts, and gorgons. Season 2 moved away from the magical creatures to focus on the Charmed Ones’ war with both demons and humans, and it hasn’t quite been the same since.

With information so scarce about the upcoming fourth season, I can only hope the new showrunners will open up the magical world a bit more, as was done for season 1, and allow the audience to experience more elements of the witching world of the series.
