Paris Hilton launches a business in the metaverse
Paris Hilton has been working as a celebrity disk jockey for a few years now. With the rise of the metaverse making waves, it should come as no surprise that she would include herself in it also. The metaverse is a network of 3D virtual verse focused on social connections. That is the broad definition of the world that is being developed to be the new digital economy. And in a world where Paris Hilton was once one of the first leaders of the reality world space, it should come as no surprise that she is also one of the first “social influencers” to take part in the metaverse.
What is Paris Hilton doing in the metaverse?
Paris Hilton is known for the reality show “The Simple Life”. In it, she and Nicole Richie switched their wealthy upbringing to try different lifestyles. However, in an interview with Dawn Chmielewski, she says that is how her brand and entrepreneurship mindset started. She said, “I was always in on the joke, but I knew exactly what I was doing. Behind the scenes, I was building a brand.”
Because so, on New Year’s Eve she will use her DJ skills on her virtual island on Roblox to play an electronic set for revelers who drop by to visit. Paris plays for as much as $1 million a night.
The online virtual world is called “Paris World” and represents a replica of her Beverly Hills estate. Virtual guests can tour and purchase virtual clothing or book a ride on a jet ski.
“Not everybody gets to experience that, so that’s what we’ve been working together on over the past year — giving them all my inspirations of what I want in that world,” Paris said in the interview.
