After the first season in its new time jump reality, Riverdale has returned with its sixth season in a five-episode crossover “Rivervale” event that brings Greendale’s own Sabrina Spellman to town.

At long last, last week’s episode brought Sabrina to town with a spell that seemingly killed Cheryl. As we approach the fifth episode of the Rivervale event, there are many questions left to answer. Let’s see what lies in store for this week’s episode.

Per IMDB, the official synopsis for this week’s one hundredth episode bonanza, “Chapter One Hundred: The Jughead Paradox,” reads:

"Unnerved by the mysterious and bloody events occuring around him, Jughead sets out on a quest to discover the wicked truth about Rivervale."

While Rivervale is in an alternate reality, Jughead has remained the show’s narrator, albeit in a seemingly more omniscient form. That may take a more direct form in this week’s episode as Jughead attempts to solve the mysteries of Rivervale.

Will his investigation collide with Sabrina’s arrival? Let’s take a look at the preview for this week’s episode to see what else is in store:

It appears that Jughead is going to be the one to see through the parallel realities. It’s unclear what will lead to this breakthrough and how Jughead is going to lead his friends out of Rivervale and back into Riverdale.

But importantly, we see a face that’s been missing since the first episode of this season–Archie Andrews! Based on that alone, it seems like we might be heading on the right track to get back to normal, whatever that means for Riverdale.
