Will Carrie and Mr. Big break up in And Just Like That?

By now, every fan of Sex and the City has seen the trailer for the upcoming reboot, And Just Like That, and we’re all excited about the show. However, there is one thing that doesn’t excite us. Seeing the pictures that Eonline shared of Carrie kissing Jon Tenney’s character. It took what seemed like forever for Carrie and Mr. Big (real name John) to cement their relationship, and in the 2010 sequel to the Sex and the City movie, the pair ended on the right page even after she’d kissed Aidan.

Speaking of Aidan, after Carrie kissed him, she felt so guilty, she immediately called Mr. Big, and what happened? He was hurt, and she was scared her marriage was over. He forgave her, offering her a ring and having her recite the vow that she would kiss no other man besides her husband. And, now we see the images of her breaking the vow which doesn’t say anything good about their marriage.

Are Carrie and Mr. Big’s marriage already on the verge of collapsing in And Just Like That?

While the trailer shows happy scenes between Carrier and her husband, that doesn’t mean that all is right with the world. The second movie showed the same thing at first before delving into the problems that Carrie was having with being married and Mr. Big’s idea to separate for two days a week.

Though at the end of the movie all seemed to be right with the world, the pair have officially been married for thirteen years so other problems may come to light. The first season runs ten episodes so that’s not much time for a marriage to fall completely apart unless there is a really strong underlying problem. And if there isn’t, why would Carrie be kissing another man?

As much as I hate to think about it, Carrie and Mr. Big’s marriage may not last. But if the producers do decide to end this romance, they should be prepared for some fallout. Most of us Sex and the City fans have loved this couple since 1998, and we won’t be happy about watching their love disintegrate.

And Just Like That premieres on HBO Max on December 9th.
