Selena Gomez is an active advocate for mental health reform and progress. Because so, she has just announced the development of a new platform that will launch in February 2022.  The new platform will be called “Wondermind.” It is said to be an online community that will provide tools and resources for those who are struggling.  After the success of “13 Reasons Why”,  and her work as a producer, it showed she is not only a knowledgable advocate but an experienced advocate. Therefore, Wondermind is a platform that will bring much success and change in the upcoming months.

What else can be expected from the mental health platform Wondermind?

Not only did Selena produce “13 Reasons Why” but Selena also had her #MentalHealth#101 initiative. Now with Wondermind, she is collaborating with “The Newsette’s” Daniella Pierson and her mother, Mandy Teefey. They all have shared experiences with mental health. Selena is open about her bipolar disorder,  Daniella is open about her OCD experience, and Mandy is open about her ADHD and trauma.

In their collaboration with Wondermind, it will also feature a podcast hosted by Mandy where she will interview therapists and experts in the mental health space. Fans of the trio will be excited to know that there will be physical products released. Products that have been announced so far are journals with writing prompts to assist with mindfulness.  The website will also offer a free email subscription that will deliver a newsletter with daily motivation.

In a personal letter to fans, the women added that they, “realized there was no inclusive, fun, and easy place where people could come together to explore, discuss, and navigate their feelings. So we created it.”
