Who else wants a wholesome holiday special? This girl. A favorite of mine is a “Charlie Brown Thanksgiving”. Who can forget “Charlie Brown Christmas”? But, neither of the two are streaming for free this year on Apple TV+.

Subscribers may remember that specials like “It’s the Great Pumpkin”, “Charlie Brown”, “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” were offered for free in 2020. Apple knew that Charlie Brown is a hit and it would entice potential subscribers to sign up for Apple TV and Apple TV+. They also hoped it would keep current subscribers satisfied.  Fans of the Peanuts clan, however, were understandably upset when the holiday staple did not air on broadcast television as it has for so many years.

This year the Peanut specials will be available for $4.99 on Apple TV+. While the Peanut specials are property of Apple TV+, their agreement has been adjusted this year to allow PBS to air the holiday specials in limited quantity. The length of the agreement has not been disclosed but PBS has already announced that “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will air at 7:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 19. Fans should also know PBS Kids has been airing “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” and “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” in previous weeks.

Fans should also take note that Apple TV+ offers a free trial for the first month when you are a new subscriber. Fans can also pay $5 a month for the subscription or pay  $49.99 a year to save money.  There is no excuse to not watch the Peanuts gang!

Now that there is more access to the Peanuts gang will you watch?
