Riverdale season 6 episode 2 live stream: Watch online

After the first season in its new time jump reality, Riverdale is returning with its sixth season in a five-episode crossover “Rivervale” event that brings Greendale’s own Sabrina Spellman to town.

Last week’s season premiere introduced us to the new alternate reality of the town now known as Rivervale where everything seems the same but a bit off.

While it isn’t completely clear what’s happening yet, an all too familiar feeling for Riverdale viewers, it seems as though Cheryl is in control of the town after her spell at the end of last season, culminating in a shocking ritual killing of none other than Archie at the end of last week’s episode.

Per IMDB, the official synopsis for this week’s episode, “Chapter Ninety-Seven: Ghost Stories,” reads:

"La Llorona arrives in Rivervale. Betty and Toni visit Cheryl in hopes that she can protect Betty’s unborn baby and Baby Anthony. Meanwhile, Jughead, Tabitha, Reggie and Veronica have ghost tales of their own, straining their relationships."

It seems in the new Rivervale, Cheryl wields a lot of power over her followers, promising them the things they want most, like the safety of their children. This is how otherwise smart and suspicious women like Toni and Betty are seemingly going to fall into Cheryl’s clutches again after killing Archie.

The official preview for this week’s episode provides further insight into what’s happening in Rivervale.

The new narrative Twilight Zone-esque format for this season will prevail this week with Jughead serving as the host for more of Rivervale’s shenanigans, including some spooky ghost stories. While we still don’t know exactly what’s going on, it’s always a fun ride. Tune in to see what happens next.
