It has been just over a week since Britney Spears has been freed of her 13-year-old conservatorship, legally set and court-ordered by her father Jamie Spears.  For well-deserved reasons, Britney has been at the peak of celebration, even getting engaged to her long-termed boyfriend, Sam Asghari, as well as planning on having a child together.

For the most part, things are looking for the pop princess as the conservatorship put a toll on her mental wellbeing and partially disabled her concerts. It also took a strain on her relationships and missing out on her children’s lives.  Now that Britney no longer has a legal shadow looming over her, she can have the life she always imagined.

While the fans have been most supportive of Britney through the #FreeBritney movement, as well as celebrities, Britney herself called out to fellow singer and Mousketeer, Christina Aguilera in regards to the conservatorship support.  It has created somewhat of a rift between the two.

At least on social media.

Following the Latin Grammy Awards on Thursday evening, a reporter asked Christina if she has been in touch with Britney, and about being released from her conservatorship.

Before she could answer the press, her publicist replied, “No, we’re not doing that tonight. I’m sorry.”

Despite that Christina couldn’t answer the question, she did say that she “was happy for her.”

Christina’s answer didn’t receive well with Britney, and she took to her Instagram stories to say her piece of the matter, along with the interview video with Aguilera dodging the question.

"“I love and adore everyone who supported me… but refusing to speak when you know the truth, is equivalent to a lie !!!! 13 years of being in a corrupt abusive system yet why is it such a hard topic for people to talk about ??? I’m the one who went through it !!!! All the supporters who spoke up and supported me, thank you… yes I do matter !!!!!”"

Back in June, the Genie in a Bottle did share her support for Britney on Twitter and even shared a childhood photo when the two were in the New Mickey Mouse Club back in the ’90s.

At the House of Gucci event that took place the same night as the Latin Grammys, Lady Gaga openly expressed her joy about Britney’s newfound freedom and the termination of her conservatorship.

After hearing Lady Gaga’s praise, Britney then again went to Instagram and thanked her for her love and kindness, which by the end of the day is what keeps life worth living.

"“Thank you Lady Gaga for genuinely taking your time to say something so kind.  “You made me cry !!! I love you !!!”"

Her thanks were then met with another mention from Gaga, who stated that Britney changed the industry for women indefinitely.

"“Love you @britneyspears. Live your best life. I prayed for the legal system to treat you like a person. You’ve now changed the course for women in this industry forever. You stood up for yourself and were so brave. Thank you.” -Lady Gaga via Instagram stories."

Britney’s nearly fourteen-year conservatorship was terminated on November 12th in court by superior Court Judge Brenda Penny and with the assistance of Britney’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart.  After the events of that day, Britney thanked her fans and the #FreeBritney movement for their ongoing dedication.

Hopefully, Britney and Christina will settle their indifference in due time as they have come so far.
