The name for the brick-building brand LEGO is an abbreviation of two Danish words, “leg godt,” which means “play well.” This weekend, VIP members of the interlocking toy brand will get to play well and take advantage of early Black Friday savings in the process.
LEGO is about to kick off VIP Weekend, which starts Saturday, November 20 and runs through Sunday, November 21. This exclusive sale includes special gifts, double points, and discounted rewards for its VIP members. If you’re not already a member, this could be a great time to sign up, as LEGO’s VIP membership is a free loyalty program that lets you earn points with every purchase from the site. Each dollar spent equals six and a half points that you can use at the online Rewards Center. In addition, you’ll be able to access VIP-only deals (like this upcoming weekend), plus enjoy gifts, early access to desirable sets, monthly discounts, and more.
Over the weekend, VIP members can look forward to several special offers. During this time, members will get double points, which means $1 spent will now equal 12 points you can use at the Rewards Center. This hub will feature one-day deals, new rewards, and markdowns on existing ones. One of these new rewards is the Vintage Camera set that’ll cost you 2000 points. There are also exclusive gifts with purchases only VIP members can enjoy. When you spend $170 or more, you’ll get a free festive set of Santa’s Front Yard, and if you spend $250 or more, you’ll receive a collectible LEGO retro tin sign.
If the weekend isn’t enough savings for you, LEGO will also participate in Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The sales event will start on Friday, November 26, and go through Monday, November 29. During this weekend, you’ll be able to enjoy special gifts with purchases, offers, and new sets like the Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series 6785-piece AT-AT set, which launches on Black Friday and retails for $800.
