Snowpiercer: Season 3 premiere date revealed

At first, everyone believed those on Snowpiercer were the only survivors of the freeze that had eventually killed nearly the entire population. But, by “994 Cars Long,” the train’s passengers and viewers learned that was not the case.

Season two portrayed the struggling conflict between Mr. Wilford, the Tailies, and the split views of those that needed to choose between the two as revolution and war raged on. However, the episodes did not hold back in portraying the stakes and issues amongst the characters, especially regarding Layton’s determination to stay involved after the revolution and Alex’s role as Melanie’s daughter and Mr. Wilford’s engineer.

When TNT’s Snowpiercer ended its second season, it did not do so without shocking conclusions. Finally, after a long wait, fans will get to see the next installment of the series on January 24, 2022.

Snowpiercer left off with Snowpiercer and Big Alice being separated because Layton and Alex went to find Melanie, only not to see her at the remote research station. Sadly, the finale leads to the suggestion that Melanie had died after missing the train. However, it was revealed that Jennifer Connelly would be in season three. So, what happened to Melanie could still be unknown with the possibility of being addressed in upcoming episodes.

But, that was not the only major storyline. Melanie’s research was based on the hypothesis that Earth has finally started to warm up again after years of freezing temperatures. While it is still too cold to survive outside, this is still a plotline the future of the show could pursue.

Of course, though, there is also the conflict between Mr. Wilford and his hold on Snowpiercer’s residents. Will the train be able to fight Mr. Wilford when its prominent revolutionary, Layton, is separated from the rest of the passengers?

With Snowpiercer already renewed for a fourth season, the series has several avenues it could go knowing there is another year ahead to answer any possible cliffhangers or plot twists the series may throw at the characters and audience.
