Reboots and comebacks are in! Wouldn’t you agree! No matter the age, or era of life you are, we all sang along to lyrics by pop-punk banks that might have defined an “emo” stage of life you were in or the soundtrack of your young adulthood. You might still be listening to the music now! With the year winding down and television and movies seeing the trend of reboots more than ever, it’s time to see the comebacks come in music. Here are the top two punk bands that need to make a comeback.

The top two pop-punk bands that need to make a comeback

My Chemical Romance

Have you heard of The Black Parade? The album was the album that was the classic for My Chemic Romance. The 2006 album was certified triple platinum and met with a critical success after fans were already drawn to them after their 2004 release, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.

The album was a departure from their hard work sound that was featured on their original debut. Less than a year after its debut it gained platinum status and had its music videos highly circulated on shows like TRL (Total Request Live). Rolling Stone declared their second album as the 10th best album in the pop-punk/emo category of all time. I think this calls for a comeback!

Fall Out Boy

Right above the same list is Fall Out Boy. If My Chemical Romance pushed the pop-punk sound into a mainstream platform then Fall Out Boy solidified its place on the airwaves during the 2000s and early 2010s era.  Similarly, Fall Out Boy had its eclectic videos and lyrics with a bit of a lighter approach but overall artistic touch to their music.

While they have been releasing music more periodically, their last album was in 2017. We need more music!
