10 exciting new YA releases to cozy up with this November
By Lacy Baugher
November can mean many things; Darker nights, colder temperatures, family events, and comfort foods. Awards season movies start arriving in the local multiplex, and holiday gift guides pop up on all your favorite websites. And a just-in-time-for-Christmas barrage of exciting books arrives at your favorite local shop.
Thanks to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, some of these releases are titles that have seen their dates shoved around multiple times in the past year, so their arrival comes as welcome relief to both authors and readers alike.
November offers an intriguing mix of new titles – from highly anticipated sequels like the latest installment in Renee Ahdieh best selling The Beautiful series (The Righteous), the conclusion to Chloe Gong’s These Violent Delights duology (Our Violent Ends), and the final chapter in Mackenzi Lee’s saga of the Montague siblings (The Nobleman’s Guide to Scandal and Shipwrecks.). There are exciting new releases to look forward to as well, including new titles from fan-favorite authors like Marissa Meyer – who returns with a brand new fairytale retelling (Gilded)! – and teen thriller queen Karen McManus (You’ll Be the Death of Me).
Plus emotional new debuts from Kate Sweeney (Catch the Light) and Dustin Thao (You’ve Reached Sam). In short: there really is something for every kind of YA fan this month, no matter what your favorite kind of story might happen to be. (Plus, a few surprises too!)
