In 2017, the Spanish show Money Heist, also known as La Casa de Papel, caught the world’s attention. The show is about a group of robbers embarking on an epic heist to steal billions of Euros from various banks such as the Royal Mint of Spain and the Bank of Spain. Each member goes by an alias based on cities such as Tokyo, Berlin, and Nairobi and are dressed in a red jumpsuit with a mask of Spanish surrealist artist Salvador Dalí. Five years later, the show has won numerous awards and is about to premiere another part in December 2021, and fans can’t wait. If you’re looking for a DIY Halloween costume, the Money Heist robbers look is easy to recreate, recognizable, and based on a fantastic show.
The red jumpsuits the robbers wear in Money Heist zip-up in the front and feature stretchy cuffs, a hood, and various pockets on the front. This one from Amazon looks like a replica from the show. This one even comes with a Salvador Dalí mask, so you don’t have to buy one separately. The jumpsuit is available in sizes small for $40, medium for $40, and large for $35.
The product currently has a 4.3-star rating on Amazon, with customers writing about how much they enjoyed the costume. One reviewer mentioned that it does come a bit small, so it might be a good idea to size up. “I was and still am BLOWN AWAY by the high level of quality put into this costume. I’m so beyond thrilled at the material used as well as how easy it is to zip up,” the reviewer wrote. Another customer was delighted with the quality of the mask. “I especially liked the mask. [It’s not] like those thin, flimsy Halloween masks. [It will] hold up to long-term use,” the customer wrote.
