We know that Strand (Colman Domingo) found a warehouse to ride out the launch of the nuclear missiles. It was more than just a warehouse, though. It was filled to the brim with priceless artifacts thanks to its resident historian, Howard (Omid Abtahi) who was trying to preserve the treasures.

Instead of being obliterated by the nuclear blast it looks like Strand ended up being far enough away from the blast that he survived and now he’s thriving. But when a mysterious stranger shows up, it upends the tranquility of Strand’s utopia and sends him on a mission to connect with an element of his past that he thought was lost forever.
