Will Hope become a full tribrid on Legacies season four?

With Legacies entering its fourth season, things are about to pick up. However, with the future of the series possibly looking darker, one question hangs over the show in the season’s trailer: Will Hope Mikaelson die?

Legacies has hinted that Hope activating her vampire side and becoming a full Tribrid is the key to defeating Malivore. But, Hope has not wished to do so, and instead, she, Josie, and Lizzie plan to look into alternative ways to kill their enemy.

But, with Malivore using Landon’s body as a vessel and taking Cleo, it looks like Malivore may be more potent than ever before.

Hope’s death could be the darkest the series has gone since the Dark Josie arc. Since anyone has yet to transition into a vampire throughout the series, Hope would also be the first main character to go through the process on-screen if she were to turn.

Activating Hope’s vampire side to have her become a full Tribrid has always been a thought at the back of the series. There are several possibilities for how Legacies could portray Hope’s transition, what it means for her as a person, her powers, and what it could mean for her relationships.

While season four may be looking bleak for Hope so far, it doesn’t appear that things are any easier for her friends.

Legacies has distinguished itself in The Vampire Diaries Universe in the past with its lighter tone and monster-of-the-week format. However, this may be the perfect opportunity to begin changing the style to a much darker story.

Regardless of how things play out, it will be an engaging and exciting fight to try and conquer Malivore.

Hope has people at her side to help in their endeavor to save their friends and beat their greatest enemy. Still, what will all of this mean for her future?
