Are you ready to head back to the Haunted Mansion with the help of the Muppets?

Are you ready for a new adventure in the Haunted Mansion? Inspired by all four Haunted Mansion rides located in Disney parks around the world, the Muppets are ready to get their spook on.

On the Muppets Twitter, an official invitation was extended to fans to join our favorite puppets for a spooky soiree. And if you have seen the original Haunted Mansion movie with Eddie Murphy, then you already know that this is going to be more than just a fun adventure for the Muppets. This is going to be a downright hauntingly good time.

So what exactly can we expect from this new adventure? It seems like the Great Gonzo has been dared to a night in a very haunted house and we all know that Gonzo can never resist a dare. But he won’t be alone, and no we aren’t talking about his friends and fellow Muppets. After all, it is a haunted mansion.

Disney is taking the Muppets on a spooky new adventure to the Haunted Mansion

According to the Disney+ media site,

"The Great Gonzo – world famous daredevil artiste, has done it all, seen it all, and survived it all. But on Halloween night, the fearless Gonzo takes on the greatest challenge of his life by spending one very daring night in the most grim grinning place on Earth …The Haunted Mansion."

This is the first time that the Muppets have been gifted with a Halloween Special of their own and we are beyond excited for it to be their own take on the Haunted Mansion. We can’t wait to see Gonzo and his friends dealing with a ghosts, a Madame Leota of their own, and of course their own zany brand of what a party should be.

As a fan of the Eddie Murphy Haunted Mansion movie, I never really wanted a remake (at least not yet), but when it is the Muppets doing the remaking, I am here for it. One of the big reasons is because we want to movie to be fun and funny and who else is going to bring that level of humor than Gonzo, Miss Piggy, Kermit, and the rest of their friends?

Disney is teasing some very special cameo appearances and if we happen to get a cameo from Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Tilly, or Wallace Shawn, we would definitely be happy.

So when can we start streaming this spooky soiree? The new Muppets Haunted Mansion is set to premiere on Disney+ on October 8.
