Riverdale season 5 episode 12 live stream: Watch online

After a long hiatus, Riverdale is back with the second half of its fifth season and just as wacky as ever. Last week’s midseason premiere picked up where we left off, with Betty and Tabitha investigating Jughead’s mysterious disappearance and Archie, Veronica, Kevin, and Fangs dealing with the aftermath of Hiram’s prison outbreak that took over the town.

Meanwhile, Cheryl found religion–via her mother’s newly made-up cult based on their dearly departed brother and son Jason. Needless to say, Riverdale is back with a bang. Let’s see what this week’s episode has in store.

Per IMDB, the synopsis for this week’s “Chapter Eighty-Eight: Citizen Lodge” reads:

"Hiram shares with Reggie his origin story and how he went from a young Jaime Luna to the powerful kingpin of Riverdale. Reggie reflects on his relationship with his father."

For the last few seasons, despite having other central “Big Bads,” Hiram has operated as the central villain of Riverdale, so it’s probably time to further explore Veronica’s dad and his past.

As described in the synopsis above, “Citizen Lodge” will explore Hiram’s backstory. Take a further look with this week’s preview:

“Citizen Lodge” (a not-so-subtle hint to Citizen Kane, perhaps) seems to be taking a page out of previous flashback episodes with the return of Michael Conseulos, the son of the man behind Hiram (Mark Consuelos) portraying a younger Hiram.

Perhaps other children of Riverdale parents will make cameos in the flashback as well. Of course, you’ll have to tune in to find out.
