The vampires get a day in the sun in What We Do in the Shadows teaser

What We Do in the Shadows season three is slowly creeping upon us and FX has given fans a little tease for the upcoming season. They may or may not get a little too carried away.
In the thirty-second teaser, we hear Nandor (Kayvan Novak) being blown away by the sunny day. He’s outside, looking around at everything he’s not used to seeing with his vampire eyes. He exclaims happiness at a small bird and a “nudie girl”, but especially the sun.
We cut to see Nandor walking down the dark hallways of the home he shares with Laszlo (Matt Berry), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch). He’s got a VR headset on while Guillermo de la Cruz (Harvey Guillen), the likely mastermind behind this purchase, looks on at his master lovingly. The Relentless One gets so caught up in the magic of virtual reality, that he accidentally walks into a wall, ending his joy and delusion.
The second season of the show, a spin-off based on the original 2014 New Zealand film of the same name, left a whole lot for the stories open to explore. There’s the plot about Guillermo being a descendent of the legendary vampire hunter, Van Helsing. Laszlo and his double life as Jackie Daytona. Plus whatever else gets thrown at the whacky vampires in their supernatural world.
The highly successful second season had seen the likes of multiple famous guest stars including Nick Kroll, Haley Joel Osmet, and Mark Hamill on the show. It was even nominated for multiple Emmys including Outstanding Comedy, Outstanding Comedy Writing, and many editing and cinematography categories.
While we don’t know a ton of what to expect, we have an idea thanks to a press release distributed last month.
"This season, the vampires are elevated to a new level of power and will encounter the vampire from which all vampires have descended, a tempting Siren, gargoyles, werewolf kickball, Atlantic City casinos, wellness cults, ex-girlfriends, gyms, and supernatural curiosities galore. Plus, Colin Robinson is turning 100. And Nandor, faced with his own eternal-life crisis, tries to inject his life with more meaning. Will he find love or is he destined to be an immortal bachelor with 37 ex-wives?"
Thankfully we don’t have to wait too long to see if Nandor will finally find love. (He’s probably not going to, is he?) What We Do in the Shadows season 3 will premiere on September 2nd with a pair of new episodes.
