Crashing Through the Snow

Cast: Amy Acker, Warren Christie, Kristian Bruun, Brooke Nevin

Year: 2021

Crashing Through the Snow marks Hallmark’s move in a new direction as it seeks to incorporate more blended families into the mix.

Maggie (Amy Acker) is faced with the prospect of not being with her kids at Christmas after her ex-husband Jeff (Kristian Bruun) makes plans to take the girls to Aspen to spend the holiday with his girlfriend Kate (Brooke Nevin) and her family.

Maggie and Jeff have always been the best of friends, even after their divorce, so neither one wants to see the other upset. Kate, hoping to smooth things over and make Maggie feel welcome, invites Maggie to her family’s home. It’s awkward, sure, but it beats being without her kids for Christmas.

When Kate’s brother Sam (Warren Christie) shows up unexpectedly, it throws a wrench in Kate’s carefully organized plans. Sam sees that Maggie is unhappy being pushed to the side so he decides to help her steal the Christmas crown back from Kate. Neither one expects for sparks to fly between them, but they do. Are they ready to open their hearts this Christmas, or will Santa bring them a lump of coal?
