July 2021 release: The Queen Will Betray You – Sarah Henning

The highly anticipated sequel to last year’s The Princess Will Save You, this novel sees Sarah Henning take her Princess Bride homage to the next level.

Picking up where its predecessor left off, The Queen Will Betray You finds Princess Amarande and her stableboy and true love Luca on separate paths. She must return home to reclaim her kingdom from those who would declare her unfit to rule, as well as confront some painful truths about the man her father really was. Luca, for his part, must find his own destiny and, at the moment, it doesn’t involve Amarande. (Though I think we all know it will again, eventually.)

After all, we all know the ending of The Princess Bride. But what about what comes after? What happens after the rescuing’s done and true love’s declared?

The official synopsis is brief, but promises a big adventure.

"To stay together forever, Princess Amarande and her stableboy love, Luca, must part: Amarande to reclaim her kingdom from usurpers, and Luca to raise a rebellion and find his destiny. Arrayed against them are all the players in the game of thrones for control over the continent of The Sand and Sky. Facing unspeakable betrayals, enemies hidden in the shadows, and insurmountable odds, their only hope is the power of true love…"

The Queen Will Betray You is available on July 6.
