Bart Simpson, a.k.a. The Simpsons’ infamous little mischief, and Loki, a.k.a. the God of Mischief, are finally going to cross paths in an upcoming Disney+ short. Titled The Good, The Bart, and The Loki, the animated The Simpsons/MCU crossover will drop on the streaming platform on July 7th.

The press release is as follows:

"Loki is banished from Asgard once again and must face his toughest opponents yet: the Simpsons and Springfield’s mightiest heroes. The God of Mischief teams up with Bart Simpson in the ultimate crossover event paying tribute to the Marvel Cinematic Universe of Super Heroes and villains."

Tom Hiddleston returns as an animated version of Loki and undoubtedly gets in sorts of trouble with Bart Simpson.  Whether the two will cause trouble or stop the trouble is meant to be seen.  Fan-favorite The Simpsons characters will also be present.

Disney+ also released an official poster for The Good, The Bart, and The Loki.  In it, you can see the several infamous Springfield residents dressed as Marvel heroes (Millhouse as Hawkeye!) and, of course, Bart Simpson in profile and Loki himself.  The art is a nod to the poster for Avengers: Endgame.

The short will be the second installment of The Simpsons/Disney franchise crossover series to air on Disney+.  The first, Maggie Simpson In The Force Awakens From Its Nap, debuted on May 4th in celebration of Star Wars Day.  In the adorable Star Wars-themed short, Maggie engages in a lightsaber battle with her nemesis, Gerald Samson.

The Simpsons have been picked up for seasons 33 and 34 and will have a total of 757 episodes at the end of season 34.

Loki has his own series currently airing on Disney+ and is the first MCU character to come out as LGBTQA+. In the last episode, Loki and the Goddess of Mischief, Sylvie, discover a big secret at the Time Variance Authority. Loki streams new episodes on Wednesdays.
