June is always a fantastic time for readers everywhere. Not only are we entering peak reading on the patio or by the pool season, but most publishers are also well aware of this fact and drop plenty of enticing new releases to tempt us into yet another trip to the book store.

This year is no different. In fact, it feels as though there are possibly more exciting titles headed our way than ever before.

This month’s new YA releases include everything from highly anticipated titles from authors like Nicola Yoon (Instructions for Dancing) and Rachel Lippincott (The Lucky List) to buzzy debuts from fresh voices like Cassandra Hartt (The Sea is Salt and So Am I)  and Nghi Vo (The Chosen and the Beautiful) and new installments in favorite existing series, like Sandhya Menon’s Of Princes and Promises.

Here are 14 new YA releases coming in June that are worth your time.

Since June is also Pride Month, there are multiple, exciting new titles centering the LGBT experience on our list. From Isaac Fitzsimmons’ The Passing Playbook, Leah Thomas’ Violet Ghosts, and Julia Lynn Rubin’s Thelma & Louise-esque Trouble Girls, there are all sorts of thoughtful, groundbreaking stories heading our way.
