2021 summer TV viewing guide: 14 must-see new and returning shows

Premise: TBS/TNT/truTV boss Brett Weitz promises a final season of Claws that’s “a little bit of crazy, a lot of fun and the exhilarating ending to a great series run.”
Claws follows the adventures and exploits of boss manicurist Desna Simms and her crew from the Nail Artisans of Manatee County salon, as they rise to power in the crime world in order to claim their share of cash and respect. Past seasons of the show have seen Desna and Co. go up against the Dixie mafia, Russian mob, and Desna’s mother-in-law (it’s a long story).
Though no exact premiere date has been made available, Weitz states that the show will be returning later this summer. Originally, Claws was meant to air last summer, but production on season 4 was delayed due to both the pandemic as a whole, as well as a member of the team testing positive for COVID-19.
Badass and wickedly funny, these ladies know how to survive and have each other’s backs unconditionally. Sounds like Desna and her crew will be going out on top. We wouldn’t expect anything less from Manatee County’s fiercest salon crew.
