Summer TV: Roswell, New Mexico

Platform: The CW

Release Date: July 26

Cast: Jeanine Mason, Nathan Dean Parsons, Michael Vlamis, Lily Cowles, Tyler Blackburn, Heather Hemmens, Michael Trevino, Amber Midthunder

Premise: Everyone’s favorite cowboys and aliens are back for season three of the hit sci-fi series. Last season’s cliffhanger was a doozy, as the gang came face to face with a mysterious stowaway who looks exactly like Max (Parsons). This season will reunite everyone in order to try and stop a murder that has yet to happen. From near and from far, amidst breakups, reunions, and scientific advancements, the gang comes together to thwart the impending death of someone they hold dear. Season three will deal heavily with themes of identity and what power we really have over the future.

Series creator Carina Adly MacKenzie exited the show before season three began production, so Roswell, New Mexico will be down a shown runner. Previous co-showrunner Christopher Holler is now the sole showrunner. MacKenzie did, however, pen the premiere episode, so she is still somewhat attached to the show. Guest stars from last season including Riley Voelkel, Jamie Clayton, and Justina Adorno are also expected to return.
