This year’s summer will look a little bit different than years past, as many shows that generally go on hiatus for the summer months had production delays last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the summer TV landscape this year is a hodgepodge of highly-anticipated returning favorites such as The Bold Type and Roswell, New Mexico, in addition to freshman series like Physical and The Republic of Sarah.

We’ll also be getting our next MCU fix in the form of Loki, which follows Tom Hiddleston’s eponymous god of mischief throughout time. However, Loki isn’t the only superhero game in town, as both Stargirl and Supergirl return to our screens with new episodes in August.

With vaccination rates rising across the country, it stands to reason that this summer will be a little bit more active than the lockdown months of last year. Families and friends are sure to enjoy each other’s company, whether it’s getting together at each other’s houses for dinner or going on much-needed vacations. Some of us, like frontline workers, will hopefully be able to spend more time at home relaxing.

No matter what your plans are this summer, we’ve got you covered with a list of television shows to keep you entertained all season long. Here is your Summer TV Viewing Guide for 2021.
