The Circle season 2 player: Courtney
Courtney Linsen is probably this season’s most polarizing player – fans are likely to either love or hate him, and may flip back and forth over the course of the game. (I know I did.) At the end of the day, however, Courtney is certainly an entertaining player, and his big personality ensures he’ll be one of the names I remember from this season.
While his early vendetta against those he considered responsible for his BFF’s Savannah’s early exit eventually got pretty tiresome, you have to give it up for his gameplay, which ultimately did get both Jack/Emily and Terelisha blocked. (That he never seemed to realize his new BFF Chloe had also hated Savannah is a mystery, IMO.)
Though he got an unexpected helping hand from the Joker twist – a power that was never replicated for any other player at any other point during the game, which kind of sucks – it’s Courtney’s legitimate bonds with Chloe and River, and his ultimate loyalty to that alliance that has kept him in a solid position throughout the back half of the game. That, and his hilarious texting and emoji use.
Courtney may not be anyone’s #1 favorite player, but it’s easy to both recognize and respect the game he has played. He’s survived when he had to, and that’s got to count for something.
