Admittedly, the initial idea that Netflix tapped a player from another of its hit summer reality series to join The Circle season 2, I was pretty apprehensive. It felt like the streamer picked contestant Chloe Veitch as a test to see whether they could successfully cross-pollinate their brands, the way that, say, The Bachelor franchise does. After all, if a Too Hot to Handle contestant could also find success on The Circle, why not send former Circle competitors to Love is Blind or Dating Around or Are You the One?

Wouldn’t this all just ultimately become the biggest of cross-promotional marketing schemes, rather than a uniquely fun social media game?

But Chloe has 100% proven me wrong, turning out to be not just The Circle’s most delightful contestant, but one who has fully earned her extremely well-positioned shot at winning $100,000. Charming, self-deprecating, and just straight-up fun to watch. she’s entertaining, funny and most of all – good at the social game this show requires. That she does so without being mean, rude, or backstabbing the friends she’s made along the way is the icing on the cake.
