Riverdale season 5 episode 8 live stream: Watch online

Last week’s Riverdale continued the unfolding drama in the new post-time jump era of The CW show.

While Archie took on yet another project with recruiting a volunteer fire department after he and Jughead survived the arson attempt at his house,  Jughead furthered his investigation of Riverdale’s own Mothman.

As for investigations, Betty and Alice were relieved to discover the body they found did not belong to Polly but still dismayed as their hunt for her continued.

Meanwhile, Toni successfully lured Cheryl away from Thornhill with a fight over the River Vixens while showing her there was more worth fighting for in Riverdale.

With more soapy drama surely in store, let’s see what’s ahead on this week’s episode of Riverdale.

According to IMDB, the official synopsis for “Chapter Eighty-Four: Lock & Key” reads:

"A big announcement forces everyone to take stock of their current lives. Cheryl sets a risky plan in motion after learning some surprising news about Toni. Jughead tries to make sense of a strange encounter he had."

Not much is apparent from this week’s synopsis or preview. As seen in the preview and episode title, it seems as though Cheryl will throw some sort of old fashioned key party.

To what end? That remains unclear, but it likely has to do with her former love and current Serpent Queen, Toni.

This will be the first time we’ve seen everyone interact like this in a long time, and definitely the first time post-time jump, perhaps signaling the beginning of a new storyline or two.

Additionally, a juicy setting like a key party is sure to allow for plenty of relationship drama to unfold, as seen with Archie, Veronica, and Chadwick in the preview above. But where will that leave Betty and Jughead? You can only find out if you tune in.
