The saga of Lady Gaga’s stolen dogs has a happy ending
It’s not often that Hollywood crimes have happy endings, but Lady Gaga is breathing a sigh of relief on Friday night after learning that her beloved French bulldogs Koji and Gustav showed up at a Los Angeles police station unharmed.
The saga of Gaga’s stolen pups has captivated social media. Her assistant was shot during the altercation and two of the three dogs being walked were stolen while another dog was able to escape and was recovered soon after.
The missing dogs were returned to the Olympic Community Police Station early Friday evening. It’s unclear at this point who returned the dogs and whether that person has a connection to the crime. It’s also unclear if the person who returned the dogs will be awarded the $500,000 reward that Lady Gaga offered for their safe return.
Lady Gaga’s dogs come home, but questions remain about what happened
Though the story has a happy ending, it has been a whirlwind couple of days since two armed men accosted Ryan Fischer on Wednesday night and made off with the two canines. Video from the altercation show the two men fighting over the dogs with Fischer before fleeing the scene in a Nissan Altima.
Gaga, who is in Italy filming a movie with Ridley Scott, took to social media at once to post about her stolen dogs and offer the reward for their safe return.
It could have been a “no questions asked” situation, but the violent robbery escalated into a shooting and theft and that changed everything from a law enforcement standpoint. Though the dogs are home safe, there are still two armed gunmen on the loose. The person who returned the dogs could receive the reward, but the gunmen are still at large and pose a risk to the public.
As for Fischer, Gaga posted a sweet message to him on her social media account. “I continue to love you Ryan Fischer, you risked your life to fight for our family. You’re forever a hero.” Fisher continues to recover from his injuries while Koji and Gustav rest up after what was no doubt an unsettling couple of days for the pups.
