Last week’s Riverdale set up the mechanism for how Archie and the gang will stay in their once hometown, each of them becoming teachers at Riverdale High in an effort to save the school in a convoluted plan hatched by Serpent Queen Toni.

Despite the many present dangers facing Riverdale, there is still much we don’t know about the new time-jump era, including what is happening to the women, including Betty’s sister, Polly, seemingly hunted by semi-truck drivers late at night. Let’s see what Riverdale has in store for us this week.

According to IMDB, the official synopsis for “Chapter Eighty-Two: Back to School” reads:

"Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead prepare for their first day as Riverdale High’s newest teachers; Veronica introduces her husband, Chad, to the group; Archie and Toni turn to Cheryl for help restarting the football and cheer teams."

Last week’s episode also finally saw “Barchie Rising” as Betty and Archie officially hooked up for the first time in a steamy and shocking scene. While the two decided to remain friends and keep it casual, it appears that there could be complications to that this week.

While the two appear to keep trying to find places to hook up in secret, Veronica’s slimy and controlling husband Chad makes his first appearance. Will Archie want to intervene in Veronica’s marriage? And will Veronica sense something happening between Betty and Archie?

How long Betty and Archie can keep their budding relationship a secret from their former exes, and whether Jughead and Veronica will care is surely something that will keep viewers on their seats for episodes amidst the growing mysteries and intrigue in Riverdale itself.
