It might be a long while before South Park returns for its new season, but creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have so many things to address that they’ve created the South ParQ Vaccination Special to bridge the gap.

The hour-long special is coming to MTV2 on March 10 at 8pm ET and the title is enough to give fans a hint at what’s coming.

The South Park creators already made a statement with the Pandemic Special, the only episode of the show to air in 2020 because of COVID-19.

Now it looks like they are tackling many issues in their new special including COVID-19 vaccines, QAnon and more.

South Park is well known for putting very real messages into its episodes

The events of the past year have been like nothing the world has seen before, and it’s well known that South Park likes to tackle controversy. The question, then, is how much will the new special be able to fit?

According to THR, the special will feature a very timely story: “The citizens of South ParQ are clamoring for the COVID-19 vaccine. A hilarious new militant group tries to stop the boys from getting their teacher vaccinated.”

It sounds like the boys might be desperate to get back to school, or at least back to normal, and that could play into their quest to secure a vaccine for their teacher. In yet another art-imitates-life situation, South Park is taking a page from the headlines to address a big issue in the nation through the lens of their animated series.

The “Q” in the title suggests that QAnon might make an appearance in the story, which also means that the events at the Capitol could play into the story.
