It’s no secret that WandaVision star Paul Bettany has been enjoying his time on the first Marvel Studios series to grace Disney+. After his character was killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War it looked like Bettany’s long standing relationship with Marvel could be over, but now Vision is back and Bettany is having so much fun bringing the character to life. He’s very aware of the fans trying to figure out what’s going on and he thinks they should get jobs for their efforts.

In a recent interview with Marvel.com, Bettany is very open about how much he has enjoyed seeing the excitement for WandaVision, and he’s captivated by the fans who are trying to figure out what’s going on in the quirky series:

"I’m loving it. I’m loving it being disseminated to the fans. And I love how frustrated they are of not being able to see it all in one fix. I love reading their theories of what might happen. And some of them are incredibly accurate, actually. I keep thinking, “Marvel should give that person a job.”It’s been a whole lot of fun watching them go through this. I mean, I know they’ve been waiting a long time. So, have we. It’s really special to watch it on the platform without my name across the middle of it [on early screeners]. So yeah, it’s been really fun."

WandaVision star Paul Bettany thinks Marvel should give jobs to fan theorists

With every Marvel movie or series that comes out there are legions of fans who spend lots of time analyzing the minute details in the trailers and teasers, searching for clues about what might be found in the movie.

When it comes to WandaVision, there is so much happening that it’s impossible to take anything at face value. Fans know that Vision is decidedly dead, but he’s also alive and well. The recent appearance of Quicksilver (Evan Peters) threw another wrench into the theories.

Bettany, who has been with Marvel Studios since 2008’s Iron Man, understands how passionate the fans are and it looks like he’s in favor of rewarding those passionate fans with jobs at Marvel. It’s a touching sentiment and thoughtful hat tip to fans who have been working tirelessly to figure out what’s going on in the series.

Between Bettany’s contributions and love for Vision, there’s no question that fans want to see as much of the character as possible just in case he really is gone. Then again, in the Marvel world no one is ever truly gone, as we’re seeing with WandaVision now. Let’s hope that Marvel is paying close attention to fans who want to see more from Bettany’s Vision, and they find a way to keep him going in the MCU.
