No, you don’t have to compare every bad person to Voldemort. Thanos is there

There are so many other villains you can reference instead of Voldemort to still get your point across. You don’t have to bring him up anymore or the Harry Potter series.

A lot of fans of the Harry Potter series want to continue to use Voldemort as their go-to reference for bad people. Which look, it makes sense. We’ve known him as our go-to joke for so long that it’s hard to stop. But don’t worry, there are other options! Like Thanos.

There are actually plenty of other villains we can reference and a lot of them are older than Voldemort and the Harry Potter series. But right now, we need to stop making these easy jumps on social media to get our jokes across.

It’s always been our point of reference for calling out evil, it’s what we grew up with. But that doesn’t mean it’s the only reference we have at our disposal. We can be calling out the bad people of the world with any of the superhero villain we see on screen! We have Palpatine and Darth Vader, we have so many others in franchises spanning decades.

So the next time you instantly want to bring up Voldemort to talk about how bad a situation is, stop and think of some other reference you can pull from so you’re not still bringing up the Harry Potter series when its not necessary.

Just act like this is the franchise and every time you bring up his name, money goes to J.K. Rowling’s pocket. So, don’t bring him up, not even for a joke.

Next. The Harry Potter cast and why we should continue to support them. dark
