Tom Holland reprises his Spider-Man role at Disneyland’s Avengers Campus
As excitement builds for the opening of Disneyland’s Avengers Campus, another detail has been revealed by the Disney Parks teams. In a recently published video, it shows Tom Holland reprising his role as Spider-Man. How will Disney guests get a glimpse of the super hero in action?
Both Disney Parks fans and Marvel super fans are eagerly awaiting the opening of the Avengers Campus at Disneyland. While little details have emerged, a recent video featuring Tom Holland has everyone ready to become a web slinger. Are your Spidey Senses tingling?
Check out this special video from Disney Parks:
Bringing in Tom Holland as part of the WEB experience is a smart move for Disney. While there have been many Spider-Man actors, Holland has captured fans hearts with his portrayal of the character. By having him guide guests, it makes the experience feel more real.
Theme parks are always looking for ways to make experiences more memorable. Taking characters off the screen and bringing them into the ride is one way that makes guests want to step into the experience.
Even though Holland appears on a video, that aspect makes the whole ride experience seem more like a slice of the movie. The authenticity draws guests into the experience and makes it seem almost real.
As stated in the video, the Worldwide Engineering Brigade (aka WEB) can help turn every day people into superheroes. With the help of the Spider-Bots, anything is possible. But, when the Spider-Bots keep replicating, the help might not be so helpful.
While the story is interesting, everyone will want to step into that WEB Slinger vehicle and channel their inner Spider-Man. Who wouldn’t want to imagine that they could sling some spider webs?
The interactive element is slightly different that other Disney Parks rides. While there have been rides that offer game play, this ride allows the person to control the interaction. Your own arms control the experience.
Thinking about this particular ride, it will quickly become a fan favorite. Each experience will be different. Since guests will want to “improve” their expertise, they will want to come back time and again for that hidden element to make them an expert in the overall experience.
While it will be interesting to see how this ride works within the Avengers Campus, it gives Spider Man fans the ultimate experience. From bringing Holland to the experience to obtaining Spidey attributes, it will quickly become a popular ride at Disneyland.
The opening date of the Avengers Campus as yet to be announced by the experiences will open at some point in 2021.
What do you think of the new ride details? What do you think the wait time will be for this experience?
