Actress Jessie Cave announces her baby has COVID

Harry Potter actress Jessie Cave announced on Instagram that her baby boy tested positive for COVID and they are currently being isolated in the hospital.
The photo posted alongside the news shows the newborn in a hospital crib as Cave watches British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announce the latest round of lockdowns for England.
Cave said in the post that the baby is “okay and doing well but they are being vigilant and cautious,” and expressed how proud she is of her brother, Robbie Lloyd, who is an ER doctor in London.
This is another setback for a child who was born in late October, and had to be admitted to the neo natal unit at the hospital. Cave described the birth as “slightly extreme” in another Instagram post announcing the birth.
“Really didn’t want to be back in a hospital so soon after his traumatic birth.” Cave wrote in the Instagram post.
This news comes as a strain of the coronavirus that was initially identified first in the UK has now reached 33 different countries, including four U.S. states, the latest being New York.
Cave implored people to take this new strain seriously, writing “This strain is super powerful and contagious so I do hope that people take extra care in the coming weeks.”
We hope that Jessie Cave’s baby makes a quick and full recovery!
