Clarice

Psychological horror series are often impossible to tear your eyes away from, and that’s likely going to be the case when Clarice premieres on CBS on February 11. An spin-off of Silence of the Lambs, Clarice is set six months after the 1991 film and follows FBI Agent Clarice Starling as she returns to the field to pursue killers and violent criminals.

The show will take a deep dive into Clarice’s psyche and past trauma, and judging by the trailer, it’s going to be an eerie addition to 2021’s television lineup. Unfortunately, the show won’t be able to mention or feature Hannibal Lecter himself, but fans of Hannibal stories won’t want to miss out on this exciting new thriller.

Nine Perfect Strangers

It could be a while before Nine Perfect Strangers debuts on Hulu, but if the success of Liane Moriarty’s last book adaptation is anything to judge by (that’s right, she also wrote the novel HBO’s Big Little Lies is based on), this series will be well worth the wait.

Based on Moriarty’s 2018 novel of the same name, Nine Perfect Strangers  is another thrilling drama with actress Nicole Kidman in the lead. If it sticks to the plot of the book, the story will follow nine people who show up at a remote hotel resort, all with the intent of bettering themselves or escaping their problems. Naturally, that’s not what happens, as their stay is plagued by something darker — something Kidman’s character, former novelist Frances Welty, will have to uncover.

Moriarty’s mysteries are always thrilling and delicious, so we’re excited to see how Hulu tackles this new narrative. There’s no word on a release date just yet, but the series has been confirmed for 2021.
