With the end of the year finally here, we look ahead to 2021 and contemplate which, if any, big Harry Potter conventions will take place in the new year.

With the COVID-19 Pandemic shuttering practically every facet of life, large events were some of the first to be postponed. The largest Harry Potter event around is LeakyCon, and it was set to take place this past June in Orlando and in Denver in October.

Both events were rescheduled for 2021, with Orlando moving to June 25 to 27, and Denver now taking place from October 29 to 31. With the vaccine rolling out, it seems that fans can have some hope that these events will take place as currently scheduled.

The Orlando event will take place in the Orange County Convention, and will be headlined by Devon Murray, who portrayed Seamus Finnigan in the movies. The Denver event will be held at the  Crowne Plaza Denver Airport Convention Center, and will be headlined by Luna Lovegood herself, Evanna Lynch.

While both of these are Potter specific events, the largest fan event of the year is of course San Diego Comic-Con, which is still scheduled to take place July 22 through the 25. With filming taking place on the third Fantastic Beasts movie, there will surely be some sort of tease or even footage shown in Hall H if the event does take place.

As a rough year ends, there is reason to look forward to the future for a chance to once more congregate together with your fellow Potter fans.
