Colin Robinson’s power trip in What We Do in the Shadows

For so long energy vampire Colin Robinson has been taken for granted by his more successful vampire roommates, Nadja, Nandor, and Laszlo on What We Do in the Shadows. Usually ignored in his home life, he tapped into a way to effectively sap all the energy in a cabinet meeting at work (don’t ask me how he first gained his powers, it’s never been revealed).

Against all the odds, Robinson is promoted, but unlike his vampire roommates at home, his directives at work are not only not ignored, but enacted upon since he is the new boss.

The way that Mark Proksch enjoys sapping others by becoming drunk with boredom power is fun to watch, and “Colin’s Promotion” gave the talented actor a chance to outshine his dramatic vampire peers for once. Of course, it all ended in disaster, with the company tanking, but who cares? It was a joy while it lasted.

Luke Skywalker answers the call to train Grogu!

Keeping baby Yoda—whose real name we now know is Grogu—safe has been the big source of tension on The Mandalorian. (I’m not saying that the thought kept me up at night, OK, maybe it did. Just a little.)

The splashy debut of Ashoka Tano (a perfectly cast Rosario Dawson) thrilled the Star Wars fanbase with her enthralling appearance in “The Jedi,” but alas, she wasn’t the Jedi to answer the call to help our favorite toddler. Who could it possibly be?

When we saw the black-cloaked stranger enter Moff Gideon’s cruiser and the green light emerge from his lightsaber, there was no question who it could be. There was only one answer all along. In a time where everything is leaked on social media, it’s a miracle that the big reveal made it unspoiled until the season finale. What a thrilling surprise for Star Wars fans and without a doubt one of the highlights in entertainment this year.
