Luke Skywalker and Harry Potter are one in the same and they’re both dramatic
The dramatic boys of our fantasy franchises are important and both Luke Skywalker and Harry Potter are about as dramatic as they come. And they’re very similar.
Look, Luke Skywalker and Harry Potter are not that different. When it comes to them both, they’re dramatic and they love to throw fits but when it comes down to doing the right thing, they’re both ready and willing to do so.
But it’s important to recognize that both of these characters are dramatic and that it isn’t a bad thing. They were kids who lost everything and had to live with their aunt and uncle and live with the knowledge that they’d never know what it was like to live with their parents. Only to find out that they have a great purpose in life.
Sure, Harry and Luke both complain about it and even when they accept their lot, they’re still dramatic in different ways, but it’s why we love them. We love Harry’s sass and his smartass ways. We love Luke Skywalker and his theatrics because it’s what makes them unique.
So exploring them ass dramatic characters is important because then you get to see these moments through a different lens. Again, being dramatic is not a bad thing. It’s just a way to describe some of their motives and the things they do and it’s a pretty good explanation of both characters.
We love both Luke Skywalker and Harry Potter because they still do the right thing and step up when they’re needed and that’s what makes them so important.
