4. “long story short”

This song is an absolute bop and also so relatable after the difficult year that we’ve all had. It would be more relatable if I had a great boyfriend that I could tell, “I’m all about you,” but we can’t all date Joe Alwyn.

3. “champagne problems”

This song is Taylor Swift storytelling at its finest. You may have seen the Tik Toks of this song making women forget that they’re in happy relationships. The bridge of this song is so great (and so fun to yell along to in the car), it’s almost on the level of “All Too Well.”

2. “’tis the damn season”

I’ve been trying to argue that because “’tis the damn season” is a Christmas-themed song, it means evermore is a holiday album. (I’m not sure my parents are buying it.) The lyrics are incredibly catchy and the theme of reconnecting with a high school flame who makes you question the path you didn’t take is stellar.

1. “tolerate it”

This song was already my favorite even before Taylor said in her Apple Music Awards interview that she was inspired by the book, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. “tolerate it” is absolutely brutal, but so many of us have experience someone not treating us the way we deserve to be treated. (“Our love should be celebrated.”) Plus, this is the ideal song to listen to and imagine you’re in a music video or film while doing mundane household tasks.
