It’s truly the most wonderful time of the year – because 2020 is almost over! There are certainly a ton of reasons to look forward to 2021, from COVID vaccinations to maybe setting foot in a movie theater again. But that’s not all. The schedule of exciting upcoming YA book releases arriving in 2021 is so long we couldn’t fit them all on this list.

From highly-anticipated sequels from authors like Leigh Barduo, Brigid Kemmerer, and Amelie Wen Zhao to new works from popular writers like Courtney Summers, Angie Thomas, and Emma Lord, there’s truly something for everyone – whether your tastes lean more toward fantasy or contemporary or somewhere in between.

And that’s not even mentioning the buzzy debuts, like Alison Saft’s Down Comes the Night or Ashley Schumacher’s Amelia Unabridged. Truly, YA fans are going to be spoiled for choice next year, in virtually every possible subgenre.
