Minerva McGonagall should be a character we give our thanks to
Professor Minerva McGonagall is a character that many fans love and appreciate but we should also thank her for what she did for Harry Potter throughout the entire series.
Minerva McGonagall is someone we love. She’s a character who put herself on the line for her students and was willing to do whatever was necessary to take on Voldemort and be the best witch she could be. But the fandom does not thank her enough for how much she sacrificed for her students.
McGonagall was someone who didn’t care what she had to do, she’d do it. But she wasn’t a pushover either. If she thought someone was wrong, she let them know. She held people up to a standard and expected them to meet her expectations and it was honestly great to see.
So many teachers throughout the series put their own wants ahead of things for the students but not McGonagall. She always put the students first, even if she was hard on them from time to time. It’s important though to recognize how important that was to these characters. They’re the kind of students who knew that, even though she was hard on them, they could look to Minerva McGonagall for advice and protection and she’d gladly do that.
The perfect example is when she protected Professor Trelawney in front of the entire school to show that she would protect those she loved and cared for. There are so many things about Professor McGonagall to love and we should shower her with the love and attention she deserves because she’s one of the good ones.
