Fiona Shaw joins Star Wars series “Andor”

Aunt Petunia is going to be heading to a galaxy far, far away!
Fiona Shaw, the actress who portrayed Harry’s coarse aunt throughout all eight Harry Potter films, was announced yesterday at the Disney Investor Day to be in the new Star Wars show Andor, which is currently filming in the UK and is set to premiere on Disney Plus in 2022.
Andor is a 12-episode spinoff of the popular Rogue One movie, which was released in 2016. The series will follow Cassian Andor, portrayed by Diego Luna, five years before the events of the movie as he makes his way through the galaxy as a rebel spy.
It is not clear what role Shaw will play in the series, but Deadline is reporting that she will be co-starring in the series alongside Luna. This seems to hint that Shaw will have a significant part in the series, potentially as the main antagonist, which she showed she had quite a knack for in the Potter film series.
A role as a potential Empire higher up, or even someone within the galaxy underworld who is hot on the trail of the title character is not out of the question and would be a welcome sight to Potter fans.
Shaw has been very busy since the series ended, appearing in the critically acclaimed BBC series Killing Eve as a series regular, as well as films Ammonite and Enola Holmes, which both premiered this year.
