Ever stop and think about the fictional couple of Drarry? Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter have been a long-standing shift within the series. From the dawning of the franchise, fans have clung to them as a relationship and now they’re still one of the top ships in Tumblr’s fandom round-up for 2020!
While a bit surprising, it is nice to know that Drarry fans are still out there in full force. For years, it’d been the Sirius Black and Remus Lupin shippers who were keeping the love of these couples alive but now Drarry has taken the slot but it is still wonderful to know that fans care about these characters, even years later.
What’s interesting about the Harry Potter series now is seeing how fans interact with it. It has gotten so hard to unpack the franchise as a whole because there is so much happening behind the scenes that we want to keep our distance. But engaging with creators and their love of this wizarding world and these characters? That can still be fun and is probably why ships like Drarry are still doing so well on sites like Tumblr.
There will always probably be a ship from Harry Potter on the fandom round-up because that’s just how we are as fans and it is going to be interesting to see how they track throughout the years and whether or not Drarry remains at the top.
