The Harry Potter series is filled with wonderful magical places and we, as fans, tend to love them most of all so why is that? And what places do we love to think about the most?

Whether it be Hogwarts or the Ministry of Magic or whatever tickles their fancy, fans of the Harry Potter series love to look to their favorite locations from the franchise fondly. The series as a whole is filled with magical places but why do we love them so much?

Probably because we want to be there. Let’s focus on Hogwarts. When it comes to Hogwarts, we want to be there and explore the amazement that captured our attention as kids. We want to go to the school that felt like home to Harry because it’s what we knew from the series and the same applies to the Ministry of Magic and even Diagon Alley.

The magic of this series doesn’t come from the characters or the spells, to be honest. It comes from the places that Harry gets to go and what he sees.

When we go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, we’re not amazed by the idea of holding a wand (even though that’s part of it) but rather we’re amazed by seeing Hogwarts in the distance or walking through Diagon Alley. We see Hogsmeade and cry because we love this series and we want to be where Harry was.

If the Three Broomsticks existed in real life (and not just the park) fans would probably be there regularly but going to these magical places and being obsessed with them? It’s just an extension of our love.

Next. Harry Potter fans and connecting to the cast of the series years later. dark
