The midnight releases of Harry Potter and why we loved them so much
Going to get the Harry Potter books the night they were released was always a fun time for fans of the series so let’s take a look at why we loved going to these events.
When we were all younger, we’d go to the releases of the Harry Potter series. Whether it be for the books or the movie premieres, we’d be together to celebrate the series we all knew and loved. So what made those events so special? The fans.
Getting to go and experience the magic of a midnight release is something many fans have cherished throughout the years. Mainly because those moments were when we all felt like we belonged to a part of a community of fans who loved the same property.
We all went in our Hogwarts robes and got ready to either read what was coming next for Harry and his friends or see the stories we knew and loved played out before us. It wasn’t about getting the book first and running off. Sure, some people did want to be the first to read it or watch the movies but it was more than that.
It was about being together. We were all fans of this series and we all loved these characters. We could finally talk about our theories and what we thought was going to happen next together and it was a beautiful experience and getting to see those midnight releases in action was always incredibly special to fans. To be together and celebrating the series we loved? Amazing.
