Holidays and the Harry Potter series: Our favorite moments
Harry Potter during the holidays brings some of the best memories from the series so let’s talk about why they’re great and which are our favorite moments to look back on!
From getting his sweater from Mrs. Weasley to going to Godric’s Hollow and seeing the graves of his parents, there are plenty of holiday moments throughout the Harry Potter series that either bring us joy or remind us of how sad Harry’s life really is.
While there are so many to focus on, let’s pick the best two to talk about. First, there’s the first Christmas he spent with Ron where Mrs. Weasley made him his own sweater. For fans, it means a lot and we even inspire to get our own sweaters to feel like we are part of the magic.
But from there, there is the Christmas that he got to spend with Sirius Black. Throughout the entire series, Harry was always somewhat on the sidelines of the holidays. Either the “pity” invite or someone that spent them alone away from everyone. But that Christmas with Sirius was the first time he could actually be a part of it all. He got to spend time with this godfather and his life wasn’t as alone in that moment even if he did worry about what the future had in store for him.
There are so many moments throughout the series that makes the holidays a special time for fans and it’s sad that these are the only moments we really have where Harry got to stop and reflect for a moment outside of whatever else was going on.
