Marsai Martin

Where you know her from: Black-ish and Little

Best known for her role as Diane Johnson on the hit ABC series Black-ish, Marsai Martin has taken Hollywood by storm. In 2019, she starred in the comedy film Little, which she also executive produced, becoming the youngest person in Hollywood to produce a movie. She’s a nine-time NAACP Image Awards winner who was featured in Time magazine’s “Top 100 Next” list in 2019. She’s also done voice work for several animated projects, including Elena of Avalor, Vampirina, and the upcoming PAW Patrol animated film.

So what’s next for Marsai? May we suggest the lead role of teenager Riri Williams in the reported Ironheart Disney+ series?

Ironheart is an armored superhero, like Iron Man and Rescue, who also has a super-genius level intellect. Making her comics debut in 2016, Ironheart has been a continuous presence in the Marvel comics universe, as both a solo hero and as a member of Ms. Marvel’s Champions team, which is comprised of several teenage Marvel heroes. She has appeared in the animated Marvel Rising series, voiced by Sofia Wylie, where she appeared alongside such heroes as Captain Marvel and the Secret Warriors.

Marsai has proven herself to be one of the smartest teenagers in Hollywood, and we would love to see her translate that boss energy into the MCU.
