Harry Potter may have been fighting Lord Voldemort but the series did inspire many of us to be more politically active in our own lives and stand up for what is right.

When it comes to things that the Harry Potter series taught us, it’s important to remember that the series always told us to stand up for what is right. And when it comes to politics, it meant that we have to defend our own rights and the rights of others.

It’s why, right now with the political unrest that has settled in in both the U.K. and in the United States, many fans are fighting in the honor of the characters who taught us to never back down. It’s why when we’re faced with J.K. Rowling’s harmful tweets and rhetoric, we’re not backing down from calling her out.

This series did a great job of teaching us to be strong and stand up for what we believe in and that’s making itself very clear right now in regards to politics. We don’t want to just sit back and let whatever is going to happen just do so. We want to be politically active and have our voices heard in a way that Hermione and Harry and Ron all saw when they were at Hogwarts.

So yeah, the series might not have directly dealt with politics head on but it did have a lot of political elements in it and so getting to see the entire Harry Potter generation stand up and fight for what they believe in with politics? It’s wonderful to see.

Next. Saturday Night Live continues to call out J.K. Rowling and it’s refreshing to see. dark
